Competitors, originating from the mentioned categories,
should report themselves on the day before the race between 9.00am and 7.00pm at the
Frieslandhal/FEC at Leeuwarden.
Competitors must have either medical affirmation or a KNSB (Royal Dutch Skating
Association) license.
They must sign a competitor's statement, concerning use of drugs. At the subscription,
they receive a start control card, as well as starting numbers, to be put on the back and
thighs. The start control cards will be handed out only once.
Skating members can also subscribe at the day before the race
between 9.00 am and 7.00 pm. They must hand their legitimate 'Elfsteden Identification
Card'. 'Potential candidates' who are appointed by fate for the season, can also subscribe
at this day and time. They must hand their letter of appointment.
The skaters receive a start control card and an identification sign. Start control cards
are handed out only once.
The subscription fee will be determined for every race and
tour.
The fee must be paid on the day of subscription.
The competion part will commence at 5.30am, in principle in
the Frieslandhal/FEC at Leeuwarden.
The leisure skaters depart directly after the speed skaters, in order of their membership
or registration number. The goal is to let 1,000 skaters start every quarter of an hour.
For the competitors, the final checkpost at Leeuwarden will
close, after 20% of the skated time of the winner has elapsed, or later, upon decision of
the board, concerning special circumstances.
For female skaters this will be after 30% of the skated time of the winner has elapsed.
The final control post at Leeuwarden for leisure skaters will close at Midnight sharp. The
control posts at Harlingen, Franeker and Dokkum will close at 6.15pm, 7.00pm and 11.00pm
respectively, or earlier, upon decision of the board, concerning special circumstances.
