Some examples of different ways to search the Friesland Whitepages

(these are working examples)

Example [1] Searching for a name (lets say John) worldwide.
In that case type:

This will give you all "John's " in the database, where ever they reside.
Example [2] Searching anyone in Friesland.
In that case type:

This will give you all the entries from Friesland.
In the same way you can type usa or s-america m-america australia asia, africa etc.
Example [3] Searching by date.
You can aloso search by date or month. Lets say december.
In that case type:

This will give you all entries from the month december

In fact, you can search for every (string of) word(s) in the databe. So, friesland, nov, dec, john, leeuwarden, usa, las vegas , grou, 1998, .com , http:// : it will all work.

Combined searches

The real power of the database searche engine lies in combined (related) searches.
There are (almost) no limits in combined searches.

Example [4] Searching for John Doe from Leeuwarden
In that case type:


This will give you all John Doe's from Leeuwarden
Example [5] Searching for usa and november
In that case type:


This will give you all entries from the USA who subscribed in the month november.

The difference between AND & OR searches.

So, what can you do with "and" & "or" searches?
OR search finds lines that match any search terms.
AND search finds lines that match all search terms.

Examples:
Searching on November and December
With a AND option this search this will fail! Because it's not possible that there is one record in the database which is added in two months at the same time!
With a OR search you will get ALL the files from November and December
